TurboIRC Voice Chat

TurboIRC Voice Chat is TurboIRC's tool for voice chats . TurboIRC Voice Chat is in beta state and I cannot guarantee that will work on all types of machines / soundcards . The final version will have also the multi-conferencing feature .

TurboIRC Chat can be called as a DCC request from TurboIRC . You can call TurboIRC chat outside of TurboIRC as well . TurboIRC chat syntax is :

TXVOICE.EXE frequency [IP] port

frequency , is the frequency of the sound for the connection . This value is 8000 , 16000 or other . Higher values are better but they are slower .

IP and port is the remote IP and Port of the remote side to connect . If you enter only a port number , TurboIRC Voice Chat will wait for a connection (it will act as a server ) .Under TurboIRC , you need not to know all of these details , because TurboIRC automatically calculates the parameters to call the TurboIRC Voice Chat . These parameters are required only if you want to manually call TXVOICE .

Once the connection is established , you can press the button "Talk" and talk . Press Alt+F4 to terminate the Voice Session , or the Exit button .

You can change the frequency . Use these values : 8000 , 16000 , 32000 . It is recommended ,however , to leave the frequency to 8000 .
